    question for Nausty

i'm asking you cause you own both

a few weeks ago i raced a friend who had an XR100, and i whooped him(i knew i would, cause also own a XR100) but, he said that in a few days he was supposed to be getting a CR125, but i haven't been able to race him yet, cause they won't let us ride at the place we raced at away(STUPID *****ES!!!) but anyway, my question is....between a 400EX, and a CR125, who would win

i would bet on the 125, but by how much

this is just a drag, not a track and we are both good riders.

I had a stock yz125, and i raced a stock 400ex, and he had me off the line, but in about 3rd gear i took him, so the 400ex would have you off the line, but the 125 would win after about 3rd gear. I'm just waiting to go back down to the gravel pit i ride in to race my cr, that thing is pretty modded out, so I can't wait to see what it'll do to a 400. So i would bet on the cr, it'll beat the 400 by pretty far.

if its just a drag race i would bet on the CR, I used to own a cr250 and it wwould take 400ex's pretty easy when i got the RPMs up. hehe i used to sigh when i road the bike not a quad, now i sigh cause i dont have a bike and only a quad! ..

    3 more years, CR250 again!

    sorry for not replying

I havn't been on much lately and am rarely on this forum but most likely the cr125 would win if the rider knows how to get the power out of it and even if he didn't he would probably win. The 125's put out about the same power as our 400ex's but they weight half as much and the 125's only make there power on the top. The 400ex has the ability to always hook up though because its a 4 stroke and it has so much traction rather than the 3 inch wide dirt bike tires. Actually a 80 might beat a 400ex in a drag race but the 400ex has a higher top speed I know but it a 80 should definitely keep up with a 400ex in a drag though so I don't see any reason why a 125 wouldn't.

i raced my buddy's yz125 on pavement a few times and once i hit about third he would be passing me, you can get them off the line almost everytime, but they catch you in the end.

as far as racing on dirt and tracks and stuff tho, it really depends on the rider.
