2005 12 Hours of ATV America - Rausch Creek - Live Coverage

As the sun began to set this Friday Evening, we left the pits to check out the track.

John Pellan and his crew really put some preparation in preparing for this years event, and it evident everywhere you looked. The finish line tower looks awesome.

The track layout is very similiar to the 6 Hours of ATV Event held at Rausch Creek earlier in the year in that it includes the majority of the MX tracks and several miles of the trails through the woods which are for the most part plenty wide for plenty of passing oppurtunities, but those lucking enough to be on the first leg of the race will defiantely get wet as there is plenty of standing water, which will quickly be blown of the track after the first couple of laps.

The big difference now is atleast there isn't any rain in the forecast on Saturday, but it will be a little chilly in the morning with low's down near 30 by sunrise and possibly in the upper 20's.

The Rausch Creek crew also did an excellent job of preparing the MX track, so it will be in perfect condition tomorrow for the start of the race scheduled to start at 8AM.

With Trick or Treaters set to arrive after dark, many of the teams decorated there pits.

The GT Thunder Pit (Greg Trew, Taylor Kiser,Brandon Sommers) really showed the spirit of Halloween

The S&J Racing Team (John Kenney Jr, John Kenney III, Thomas Repko) also had very festive setup

C&D Racing made the long trip from Iowa to support FD Racing (Jason Mickelson, Kevin Wehde, Jarrod Sheets) and they all hung out around the fire to keep warm

The Country Boy Racing Team(Karl Lehman , John Lehman , Jason Gamble) worked into the dark preparing their machine for the race in the morning.
