Mike Penland was able to beat out Kevin Trantham to the first turn, but Trantham was right where he needed to be to take over the lead by the end of the first lap with Penland dropping back to 4th behind, Dirt Wheels Editor, Cain Smead. Ken Robey would take over the second spot until his superman dismount in the final lap, which allowed Smead and Penland to each move up one position. Robey would remount and finish in fourth.

Cain Smead put in an impressive ride aboard the Bombardier finishing in second place on a machine he never rode till the day of the race

Cliffton Beasley would grab the Holeshot, but Jim Stack was on a mission to prove his win at Unadilla wasn't a fluke as he battled his way to the front aboard his RINCON early in the first lap to take the lead, and he would go on to win by over five minutes over Tom Farr in second place.

Class Leader, Scott Kilby was out of the race with mechanical problems

Doug Henke was back in action at Powerline Park after skipping Unadilla, and he must have been in a hurry to get home because he was on fire and finished 11th Overall and over eight minutes ahead of Kevin Johnston in second place.

With over 50 riders heading into turn one with the slipery condition their were bound to be problems, and it wouldn't take long for several riders to spin out.

Fortunately, he wasn't hurt and jumped back up to return to the race.

Michael Pellegrini was able to escape the first turn havoc and go on to win the race with James Watson finishing only 16 seconds back in second place followed by Erik Vickerd who raced his first race at Yadkinville.

I think we now have yet another Vickerd hooked on racing!!!

Bougher would perform a perfect first turn 180 as I guess him and Bishop had a bet about who could do a 180 in the first turn and still win, and Jason Bougher was up to the task as he worked his way up lap by lap to take over the lead on the final lap and win the race by five seconds over Brent Wingham.

Leroy Virts would finish out the day in third place.
