    Rim size

I am looking at buying some HiPer rims or other beadlocks and I was wondering what size for the rear would be best? 8", 9" or 10"? I do a lot of hard trail and pit riding and a lot of jumping. Would a 10" rim be alright? What are the advantages and disadvantages to each size?

as far as i am aware, the size of your tire should dictate your rim size. for example, i do mx and i have a 18, therefore the low profile doesnt allow it to bend much during cornering, but it also gives a rougher ride. thats why i run a smaller 9" rim vs an 10", to gain a little bit of sidewall to help absorb a little more. if you are doing trails, you will probably be running like an 22-23" tire, so an 10" is fine. other than that, i couldnt really tell you any advantages/ disadvantages unless it has to do with weight distribution...
