Jeff Robbin's lead would be short lived when he got twisted up on the double before the big table top which sent him sideways over the table as there wasn't enough time to slow down and he ended up wrecking hard, which took him out of the race.

Chad Weinen moved into the lead with Joe Havisto right behind him.

Joe Haavisto would eventually make the pass on Chad Weinen and the pair would slow down to conserve energy and their machines for Sunday because with Robbin's out they only needed to complete the laps to qualify.

This also marked the 4th consecutive time that another rookie Pro Chad Weinen has earned a spot in the Main Event since turning Pro as High Point.

#30 Travis Spader also decided to add a little extra flair to his YFZ450 for the final Moto year with his Red Chrome Painted Fenders, which caught every ones attention.

This was there first attempt at applying the paint to the fenders, and it looked awesome, but he knew it wouldn’t hold up during the race. They feel they figured out the problem with the bonding and will give it another try over the winter.

Regardless, I couldn’t wait to see it on the starting gate.
