Darin Ogden was on his game during Saturday's second Pro qualifier. Jumping out of the gate and letting it all loose, Ogden missed posting the fastest Pro lap time by just a few thousandths behind Keith Little. With Sunday's mains being cancelled due to rain, Ogden took the second place finish behind Keith Little at the event. Ogden currently, after 3 rounds, holds down the 1st place overall points standing in the Pro/Am Production class and sits in 4th place in the Pro standings.

Team Honda's Tim Farr finished 2nd behind Ogden in the second Pro qualifier but, after the points were tallied by the qualifiers due to the rain out on Sunday, Farr wound up with a 4th place finish at his home track in Ashtabula. Farr, after the 3rd round slipped from second in the series standings down to 3rd behind Little and Goodman.

Lonestar's Keith Litte, the reigning 2004 National TT Champion, was nothing but focus and speed at Pine Lake. After posting the fastest qualifying time in the Pro heats, Little took home the win. With 3 rounds in the books, Little found himself in a dead tie with Harold Goodman. Both Little and Goodman had posted a win, a second, and a third in each of their series opening rounds.

The amateur battle of the weekend came in the 90 Modified class. Going into the Pine Lake round, Michael Blanchard (#23) held a slight points lead over Joel Hetrick (#88). From the second the green light said go, it was nothing but intense competition between these two youth riders. When the checkers waved after the six lap heat, Hetrick had the edge and took the win just a wheel's length or two ahead of Blanchard. Hetrick's win put him in the lead in the 90 Mod class with a 2 point lead over Blanchard.

Saturday's umbrellas for shade turned into shelter from the storm on Sunday. After showers drenched the Pine Lake track and, after a fruitless attempt of numerous volunteers on golf carts, quads, mules and even pit bikes to dry out the track, Fischer and crew got one main event in and two laps of another before having to cancel the Sunday mains.

Jack Moore, Angela Moore's father, and #88 in the 40 Plus class found the track a little slick when they attempted to run the main event. Here, Moore's seen conversing with a fellow 40 Pluser as they creep around the holeshot. It's not very often racers get the chance to talk while making the holeshot at Ashtabula.

Manley Jones (#807) has been known to go the wrong way on a one way street more than once. Just ask his buddies! During the second start of the 40 Plus main on Sunday's slick circuit, Jones once again proved that he's still got what it takes to make donuts out of holeshots.

Pow-wow after pow-wow took place at the blacktop starting pad in a effort to sort out "Do we race?" or "Don't we?"
