Jeremiah Jones still wears a brace for his thumb as his injury from round four nearly a month ago has yet to heal. Due to that, Jeremiah has had only about 15 minutes of seat time since the last round two weeks ago. They look over the soggy track.
When there was a couple of spoons left in the box, everyone wondered who was missing. Turns out one of them was John Natalie who showed up after everyone was almost gone and fined $25 for missing the riders meeting. John’s gate pick was pretty decent even though he wasn’t on hand to pick it, inspiring everyone to consider missing the next meeting to up their chances of getting a good pick. “I’d pay $25 for a better gate pick,” was joked by more than one rider.
