They are VERY nice quads. They only downfall is that the stock pipe is very restrictive and kills the motor's true potential. I would suggest putting on a aftermarket full exhaust system.

Just get the header unless you plan to race it. Keep it quiet and your neighbors will appreciate it. The header is the big restriction of the system.

Sorry to say, but the words good and quiet don't go together for a 300ex pipe. I have never seen a quiet one. I wouls say an FMF megamax is the best choice if you are not going to be racing and if you don't want it too loud because the fmf has adjustable discs. I personally hate the fmf, but on a stock motor it will give a noticable gain in bottom end power, or at least it did to mine. That pipe is for if you are not an absolutely insane rider and do crazy **** all the time. It's for casual trail riding, but it still gives a decent performance gain. If you want a really good pipe that will max out your performance, get a Curtis Sparks x-4, an HMF slip on, and stick it onto a white brothers header, or a yoshimura full system. The only drawback is that all of those pipes are verrrry loud. I personally love loud though.
