    Kodiac Info.

    Hello,

I just got a 2002 l/c 400 kodiac 4x4. I like it alot and it is mostly for my girl to ride, but how good do you guys rate it as a sport-ute. Are their any easy mods I should know about or consider? Are their any problems I should know about? What kind of oil do most of you guys use?

    Thanks Alot

The Kod is a pretty good mid-size ute. I guess mods depend on what you want out of the bike. 10W-30 oil should do fine in the Kod.

    Thanks Mud Monster,

Can I use something like 10-30 valvoline? Since their is no clutch like my 400ex has to worry about, regular oil should be good, right?

ps anyone else have any thoughts on my other questions?

    thanks

You should be fine with any 10W-30. Remember though that Yamaha uses a wet clutch on the CVT and the same motor oil that is in the engine lubes the clutch as well. Try not to use real cheap stuff lol.
