    tecate motor in a 300ex?

    i am looking for a 250r motor tp put in my 300ex, but all i can find is a tecate 3 motor. will this work and is this motor close to a 250r ? i know they rip, but is it worth the work?

    go with the 86 or 87 t3 motor they are better then the 85 motor

    He's right about the 86&87s. Those are the ones you want. I don't think the earlier ones had the power valves. These things fly by the way. They were faster than the Hondas. You better figure an extended swingarm into the build. You will need one.

    i had a 85 they dont have the power vavle that sob was vary fast.lol wife says u better sell that thing before u kill your self lol

    Why do such an odd conversion? You will go broke trying to keep that Tecate motor running. Why not just put a built 300ex motor in there. There's one on this site for sale. It will be alot cheaper and easier and more reliable. If you want 2stroke power just get a whole 250r bike.
    2012 sponsors MSR..... and times are tough for a quad racer in 2012.

    this is off topic birddog how did you mount 400ex rear suspention on your 250x
