    main Jet size...........

    what size main should i be lookin at for an HMF full system and a uni filter....HMF site says 200 BUT i was on their forums and appareantly 180 is more like it..but still that seems HUGE to me..from all the info ive read on this site.........anyone else have HMF full system ?

    i have a 165 in mine, i need to do a plug read though. rode it in the dunes and didn't get a chance to check the plug afterward. 165 worked great though.

    200 and even 180 sounds high... i got a 160 now and its good. Depends on what you do for riding and such too...

    i ususally start around a keihin 155 with a pipe and filter on a 400ex. the elevation and temperature will make a difference. it isn't uncommon that your jetting will change 3 or 4 mainjet sizes throughout the year due to temperature changes. i live at 625 feet above sea level too, which makes a difference. i found going larger than a keihin 160 pretty much hurt my power in the upper gears.
