I want to polish up some stuff but want it to stay looking half way decent after washes.
Will clear coat stick to it? Is there anything else I might use to keep everything nice and shiny?

No, do not clear coat it, it will turn yellow

I won't be doing anything that will get hot. I just want to do the top sides of my a-arm skid plates.
I'm assuming the heat is what would make it "yellow".

Nope, the clear coat eventually turns yellow lol you can try, its allways easy to sand it off or some paint stripperOriginally posted by turboTony

Get some ZOOP-SEAL from eastwood.com and apply that after you polish it. should last six months to a year between applicatons.
Heres to all the men in women in uniform!

Cool, I never heard of that Zoop Seal stuff before. We clearcoated after we polished...big mistake! As soon as the mud hit it, it ate away at the clearcoat and looked horrible.
