    sand tires a must?

    i live in iowa and i trail ride/xc and mx race my raptor 660 and i was planning on taking a trip up to silver lake dunes this summer and i was just wondering if it would even be worth it without paddle tires.. i just got some holeshot hd's all around how would they do.. let me know thanks.

    paddle tires are not a must, but they do make a BIG difference.
    you can hardly ride a wheelie in the sand without paddle tires because of all the wheel spin.

    they arnt neccasary, you just dont have the acceleration you would have, definetly not needed

    If you still have your stock tires they might do better than the Holeshots, but paddles are the way to go if you can spare the $'s

    Lots of power and big paddles will go a long way to make up for a complete lack of riding skill...

    NO. You don't need them. I am in the Little Sahara parking lot right now..(lol on my laptop) i am having a FREAKIN' blast with my 400ex on 20" Razrs!!! Both of my friends have paddles on theirs. Its way easier to take off with them, but there is NO difference once you get 3rd gear. Ill post some pics of my getting CRAZY air on my Razrs.

    are you talking about silver lake Mi sand dunes cuz i go up there all the time and see people without paddles i mean if your just going up just for a trip and never come back i would raptor will make it up test hill it is fun when you going up im going april 1st-the 6th or something like that my spring brake
