    missed a gear....

i was riden today in the snow and i wasnt getting any traction at all. i was in 4th and was going to great so i upshifted to 5th but when i let out the clutch and hit the throttle all i heard was my engin rev and my gear box grinding. so obviously i grabbed the clutch and let off the gas and downshiftedand it was fine. i hope it dint mess anyhting up in there, anybody know why this happend?

it sounds like you could have broke a tooth of fone of your gears.you'll have to have it looked at to see if thats the case.it could be a shift fork or shift drum itself.no wayof knowing without tearing it down.good luck

I think you'll be ok, the gearboxs are pretty tough and can take some abuse, sometimes you just don't shift hard enough it can catch between gears
