custom caller ID?

ive noticed a few ppl wen calling my house phone only there their first name comes up..... how do u do this?

do you have the people that call you's number programmed into your phones directory? if you do thats probably why only their first name pops up. you can spoof caller ID pretty easy nowadays but i doubt their doing that. if their not in your directory or spoofing then i dont know..ive never heard of such a thing

It depends on if it is a house phone or cell phone..I know with cell phones you can request only the first or last name to show up or just the #..maybe thats what it is??

i use to work at mci and when we would put peoples name in the directory listings for the state that is how it would appear on caller id's. you can call your phone company and have them change it
