the tape you use to tape of the studs on hubs could you use that and tape off ball joints of would the heat penertrate the tape and still ruin them also do you clear over the pc'd frames you post pics of.

no heat tape wont prevent the nylon cup from melting in ball joints.
i use clear on the majority of the frame i do.
