    Geting a TRX400ex

    Hey im new to the site......well im geting a TRX400ex cuz its fits my style of riding...Woods,Streets,Dirt,How fast does a stock 2005 TRX400ex go??anyway ive been riding since i was 10 and im now 14 so i do have experience.After a couple months i plan on geting AC Nerf Bars,Big gun full system exhaust,some holeshots or other brand tires and thats all i have in mind for now

    umm....i aint too sure on the top speed of them, i think it is around 70 nothing more stock.

    welcome to the site, i havent been around too much myself, i also plan on purchasing a 400ex soon. hopefully next week

    from some reading, and some other things.. the 01 does around 70... once i get mine and do what needs to be done with it ill post numbers...

    I have a 2004 400 EX and my buddy and I were side by side, he was in his vet and i was on my quad, I had it up to 67 on a flat road and going slightly down hill it reached 70. That should give you some idea. This all depends on the weight of the rider too. I weigh about 180 lbs.

    whats all this bs about 400ex's doing 70?

    they do about 60mph maybe hit 65 if they were going down hill

    Ummmm.... No.... mine does about 67 on a flat road and about 70 slightly down hill.

    well his cr85 prob does 95 so our 400ex's are to slow for him

    Actually, I believe the newer models come with lower gearing, right? They probably really do around 60mph, a little more I believe, but somewhere around 65mph should be accurate for the average bike at best. The bikes are really awesome though, congrats. For the price and what you get..... it makes them even better.

    The guy with the CR never said he was faster.... I think he knows what a 400 would do to him.
