    Talking New To board....

What up everyone....New to the board and had a few questions. Today( 4.27.02) i just picked up a 02 400Ex and a 02 300Ex for my g/f. We live in northern cali and will be riding at Pismo dunes most of the time.
    1. How many people on this board are from northern cali and ride at pismo?

    2. What paddle tire does everyone recomend the most for recreational riding there at the dunes?

    3. Whats the first thing i should do to this thing...i have no idea on where to start??

    Thanks,
    Brian

I would suggest 8 paddle Haulers. They work good for most anything. If i were you, I would stay away from the molded tires like Dune Sharks, Sand Devils, Sand skates...and so on. Go here--Skat Trak That is Skat-Traks site, best sand tires you can buy. There is also one other, Sand Tires Unlimited, but they only make one tire you really want to buy...

Start with an E-series exhaust and a k&n filter for both. Kinda loud, but it sounds good in my opinion. If not those, try a race pipe like LRD, Sparks, and Hetricks. Judging by your sig, you should be capable of jetting the thing... Skat Trak

I like what Alky said, one more thing I would add, is your 400ex will definately need a 14 tooth front sprocket. They are real cheap and is the greatest mod for a stock and/or lightly modded 400ex riding at the dunes.

Oh ya K&n air filters w/ Outerwears would be a nice mod for either bikes.
