    04 to 05 front plastic

    I just finished my freinds 04 to 05 swap.Now he's just waiting for his parts to come in.

    You have an idea on what the total damage to the wallet is for the swap out??
    I do know that there is some fabricating and welding of braces--no problem..

    $226.45 but he was able to buy a used headlight of a 450R. The headlights are the same so to buy a used one saves you from spending around 200 for the light itself.

    I had to use my plastic for a mock up. Since his parts won't be in till next week, I wanted to get his brackets and wire harness moved and ready for when his parts came in. That way there's little down time on switching over.

    How much was just the front fenders? I had looked at Service Honda for part numbers but they didn't have the 05 stuff posted yet. Will the 05 400 plastic bolt up to the 04 and older models? I would like to just get the fenders and use a carbon hood without the lights.

    Do you think maier or fullbore will come out with the new style front fender for the 400ex. Change the look maybe on the racing fender to look more like the 450 aftermarket stuff.

    Thumbs down 04 to 05 plastic

    If you like the 05 400ex do not read the rest. Hopefully the people reading this message are as hardcore about the 400ex as i am. I hate the 05 400ex and think it is a disgrace to the round headlighted 400s. To me the 05 400 looks like a midget 450. Personally it is not the look for me and i would not recommend to switch the fenders. On a positive note i do like the new colors honda came out with i am gonna try to get 04 fenders in a black. If any one knows where to get some at resonable price send me something.
    04 400ex( Duncan CDI Ignition, Ex-treme Racing lowering kit, wheelie bar, a-arms, 6+ swingarm, K&N(of course) Jet Kit, 86mm 10:1com piston, Hotcam stage 2, Fatboy4 full exhaust, nitrous kit, 16 tooth front sprocket, stock rear sprocket,HD valve springs, 8 plate clutch assembly) little bit more but not much
