    400EX Shocks

What's better the Works AT steelertriple rate without rez. or the Cannondale speed stock Ohlin shocks? What rate are the Cannondale speed shocks? I only want front shocks and no rear. Which would suit me better for trails and some dunes? I weigh 188 lbs but I'm going on a diet soon because I need it. lol
    Thanx,cory

most stock shocks are sprung for a 200# rider. the stock ohlins off are cannodale are fairly good shocks. really the only thing works has on them is the tripple rate spring. the ohlins are completely rebuildablle, and you can add resovoirs if you want as well.

i got the cannondale ohlins and i like them a lot over the stock shocks. like mentioned before, they are rebuildible and you can add a rezzie later on if you wanted to, and i do believe you can get them built into a dual rate also.

Well I just wanna get something that I can just bolt right on and be ready to go. Also be totally satisfied. The ohlins r only single rate? If I just kept the ohlins the way it is would it still be better than the works at-steelers dual or triple rate without rezzies? Both will be used but in good condition. Also will both bolt right on?

you actually need a spacer for the ohlins for the top shock mount. you could probally pry the ones out of the stock shocks i would imagine, but we just made some on the lathe.

if you get ohlins that are made for a 400ex, you dont need a spacer
