Here is a pic from my old 300ex but will be the same for a 400ex. Just mount it to the steering stem and one of the frame down tubes and that should be it.

It does not natter where you mount it on the frame as long as you are able to make a full turn without the shaft hitting the end your fine. I just mounted mine on the front pipe that goes down. They are very adjustable.

I dont have a pic, but I mounted the the stabalizer on the front frame bar (on the right looking at front) that has the year sticker on it. Mine is a 2002, the only number showing now is the last 2, the stabalizer clamp covers the others. I also had to loosen the clamp on the stabalizer itself and slide it towards the end that clamps to the stem, about 1-1.5". Then just put the stem clamp on, I had the wheels full lock to the right (when sitting on quad), then put the clamp on so that the stabalizer shaft was amost all the way in, about .5" left out. Snug everything up a bit and slowly turn wheel back and forth checking for binding or anything hitting. I had the wheels off the ground and the stabalizer on easy setting so that I could feel for any binding in the bars also.
