Rounds 5 & 6 Earlywines Winter Points Series
I am still waiting on the offical scoring and points standing. I ment to get this up a couple days ago and got busy. Sorry about that everyone!
1. Track conditions were better than usual (if that's even possible). The track was fast, fast, fast. And with a little help from the cold, it turned on a dime.
2. Womans class had two riders. Cdaleracer (Carrie DeBault) who previously was undefeated, was taken down by Jen696 in what turned out to be a lesson in riding. Jen and her husband are FANTASTIC people and both had a great time. The entire track was watching that race.
3. C Class. What can a I say. Another nail biter. With an LCQ staring a bunch of people in the face, they really poured their heart into five laps. It didn't help that Jen696 placed 3rd in her first moto and avoided the LCQ. All the ladies in the building were smiling over that one!
4. Team Havoc is making a good showing at all the races. They seem to be riding solid and having a great time. One thing important in any points series is consistancy. They are showing plenty of that.
5. Rocky Moon was having a great weekend. He blew his clutch in the first moto and ended his day early.
6. Sunday was cold. The wind was blowing and it was snowing. The temp was probably in the low teens. Attendence was down by no more than 15 people. It ended up being a great day and went REALLY smooth. Earlywine runs a 'tight ship'. Riders meeting was help up a little. But all the motos, LCQs and finals were completed and trophies awarded in time to hit the road by 2pm. Way to go Chris & Nikkie!!
7. The final race of the day was close to the finish. Travis Padget held the lead till the final lap 3/4 mark. He got a bad bite in the corner and got passed and took 2nd. Team Havoc ended up with first. They also ended up with a small fire under their YFZ seat. Seems the battery was jumping around a little too much and shorted out. All ended well though.
