how do you remove the axle on a 400ex. Which way to turn the nuts? is there a clip to remove? sprocket hub? rotor? Any jhelp would be appreciated

The inside nut goes backwards,,,push the wrench down to loosen the inside nut,,close to the break rotor,,,then loosen the other nut and you'll see the clip on the axle once you get these loose..

Rico's right on. The shop manual is a big help here, but the axle is about an hour job to swap it out and check your bearings/carrier. JIM
