    crf / trx timing chain

    ok guys i no either the crf dirtbike or crf quad timing chain will fit my 400ex which is it cause i was told they are more heavy duty then the stock 400 help me out here guys and i was told i can get it from srevice honda for cheap let me know thanks

    i run the crf 450 chain in my ex. seems to work great.

    ok cool where did u get the chain from ? i heard service honda has them for around $48!!!! is this tru ?

    i got mine from my local honda shop for like $36
    2005 YAMAHA YFZ450
    +2 HOUSER aarms and steering stem flag, Elka front shocks, LSR axle, Dr. D slip-on, cam mod, AC nerfs and bumper, pro-design kill switch, Pro-Taper bars, One Industries graphics kit, pro-design case saver, PEP chain roller relocator, ebrake blockoff, Zip-ty fuel screw, carbon fiber brake rezzy relocator, 400ex throttle, a lil pc'ing and polishing

    rear shock rebuild soon

    172main, 48pilot, 35 leak, 6th position on stock needle, 2.5 turns out, and a brown spark plug!!

    do you have to cut it for it to fit a 400ex?

    there are not modifications required, it is a direct replacement. service honda should be much cheaper than $48. i think i paid $30 or so from a local shop. yes, it is the crf450 honda dirtbike.
