12 Hours of ATV America - Race Report

Team #101 Mikes Cycle World/ Duncan was back to 9th in the 2nd session, but remained in 4th Overall.

Just as quickly as the #6 Lost Creek Cycles teams got out front and started making up time, they suffered a tragic blow with their swingarm breaking apart at carrier after the tremendous abuse it received from the team pushing it to the limits trying to overcome a lap down.

Many young ATV fans took advantage of the oppurtunity to have some of the Best MX & XC riders at one event to get all of their autographs.

The Walsh team continued their 2nd session lead, and hoped to capitalize on #6 Lost Creek Cycle failure to pick up some laps on them and move up in the overall standings.

The Lost Creek Team quickly worked together to replace the swingarm and returned to racing only loosing two laps. They dropped from 4th Overall back to 16th Overall and were in 9th in the Pro Class, but they had over 20 laps left to work their way back into the hunt if they could stay trouble free.

Meanwhile, John Natalie Jr was in 2nd Place in the 2nd Session, but remained the Overall leader over the Maxxis Team.

In the Utility Class, FD Racing were back in the lead after being passed for one lap by Team #206 the Penland Brothers.

The Penland Brothers remained within seconds of the FD Racing team for most of the 2nd Session ,which made for an exciting race.

B Class Team #784 GT Thunder had moved up to 11th Overall and Team #943 J.B. Racing B Team running in 2nd Place and 14th Overall.

John Pellan was running around like crazy trying to keep the event running as smoothly as possible, and I think he did an excellent job.
