    Question lubing parts when rebuilding?

    my cylinder is gettin bored right now so my question is when i put my motor bact together should i use some kind of engine reassembly grease or just coat them with oil? also if i do need to use a grease on what parts do i put it on.... piston? cam?

    Just use good quailty engine oil on everything- piston, rings, cyl.- just be sure to clean everything thoroughly!! Brakeclean, hot soapy water then another bath with brakeclean- the good chlorinated stuff!

    yeah just put engine oil on the piston, rings and cylinder and on the piston wrist pin.
    buy a tube of engine assembly lube and lube the cam lobes and journals real good with it before you drop it in. also its good to pour a little oit in the head pockets around the cam befor you put the rocker cover on. all this will ensure you dont have a dry start when you first crank the engine and keep you from scoring the cam bearings and lobes up.
