every time I start my 1987 suzuki lt250r it revs all the way up. I thought the reeds were bad so i put in a new fmf ram valve, still same thing. carb is clean. throttle functions properly. What could cause this and how can it be fixed? any help greatly appreciated. thanks

I think a good place to start would be to check for vacumn leaks...
carb boot, crank seal, etc....
