i am 14, and im going to start racing next year at walden. I have a z400 but i dont have the money to customize it at all. So, im thinking about trading it for a sweet as 400/440ex to start racing. Then, by the time i get better and start to progress suzuki will ahve come out with a 450 or there will be something else specacular out there.

walden is an AMA/ATVA track right? if it is you cant race your z400 because your only 14

1)buy some good tires for your stock rear rims.$100 or less mounted
2)flip your front rims around backwards and drill new holes for the valve stem. $0 if you do it yourself.
3)practice a lot(cheaper than buying performance)

Don't get a machine with more performance, utilize the performance your bike has right now.

if your going to buy a new bike get a stock 450r

just think of it this way urtradin a stock bike for a hopped up bike dont do it. all u need to do are the little mods like ur pipe take the spark arrester out and pea shooter and then jet it and then just do the other stuff like two rear kenda klaws are like 90$ and dont go to a dealer to mount it always more expensive. by me they want 35 a tire hell i called a gas station that puts rims on for cars and he said 10 for a pair lol.
