The track is only a few miles off of I-70 just west of Wheeling, WV. It quickly becomes obvious why it was named "Powerline Park" after taking a ride around the track.

The 11 mile course consisted of various terrains. There were several miles of high speed field sections with some long down hills and up hills. The field became dusty during the race, but visibility wasn’t reduced dramatically unless several racers where battling side by side. The woods were extremely tacky and with several creek beds thrown in along with the mud holes before some steep hill climbs, which made for some bottlenecks during the race.

The pits area were located in a center location on hill top with the track weaving in and out of the woods around them. This year the leaves were already showing their colors after an early frost the past week.

Pete Stadtmueller pulled in Saturday Morning with his trusty Baldwin 250R. Pete races in the Junior Class and could race a 4 stroke machine, but he still prefers his 250R.

Team Kawasaki continues to show its support at the GNCC Series. Currently Team Green is the only company that has a true presence for the ATVs in XC racing, but hopefully, Suzuki, Yamaha, and Honda will follow their lead and have a support trailer for ATVs at next years events.

Take Notice Bryan Baker is selling his vForce What do you think we will see Bryan on next year???

Santo Derisi made the switch to the 450R as many other pro riders have started doing throughout the season. The kickstart is a turnoff for many, but the lack of electrical problems and DNFed races seem to be winning over many of the Pro Riders, but still no one has switched to the LTZ400??? William Yokley has done extremley well on this machine with the Yoshimura engine kit, but no one else has followed his lead. The only other Z400 on Pro Row is Johnnny Gallagher.

Five Pro Riders (#2 Chris Borich, #15 Andy Lagzdins, #8 Santo Derisi, #9 Todd Knippenberg, #45 Mike Benson) have switched during the season from the YFZ to the TRX450R

#2 Chris Borich made the switch to the Honda for the 2nd Half of the season and hasn't lost a race yet. His last YFZ was forsale at St. Clairsville with a New Honda 450R waiting to replace it in the shadows.

#4 Chad Duvall on the other hand has been extremely successful on his YFZ with nine top 10 overall finishes in a row. Also along the way, he has been on the podium 5 times.

Chad has had a great year despite some beginning of the year grimlins and his serious accident at Rausch Creek that prevented him from racing at the Patriot.

Special Thanks to Am Pro Yamaha, ITP, IMS, Roll Designs, and the many other sponsors that have supported his racing efforts all season.
