when my 250 is running it will not go into neutral...but when it is off it slides right in...is it maybe the clutch adjustments...or is there something else..

Im going to say its in your clutch.....maybe you need a new one with better springs or you might just need to adjust it a little.Originally posted by mikes450r

It is your clutch, either the fibers need replaced or the basket is chattered.

This might sounds odd but give it a blip of the throttle and then try. Works on my friends 300ex.

the clutch still hooks up hard...it doesnt slip at all...would it still be the basket though.....i also tried tapping the throttle a few times but no go....but as soon as i turn it off it will go right in..
Your clutch is NOT turning all of the way lose. I put too heavy of springs in mine and the cable streatches realy bad so I have this problem a lot. I have to replace the cable after about 1 1/2-2 hours of ride time IF I am going to wory about not having neutral, and replace it after about 15-20 hours of ride time.
