    Question engine paint

    what do people do to get the black engine paint off of the motor?
    86 250r
    lone star a-arms (stock length)
    itp mxr's
    itp baja rims
    renthal bars
    uni air filter
    bored 80 over

    oh by the way, what frame color do you guys think would go good with red plastics?

    i think simple green and a s.o.s. pad should take the paint off. for a frame color. black looks good with red. i believe someone on here has a 400ex thats red and has a yellow frame...looks really nice.

    I bead blasted mine then just bought some nice dark gray with a little metal flake paint from parts store mathces the cases really well. Bead blastnig leaves a slightyly rough surface thats perfect for paint. plus if you use chemicals you have to make sure to get it perfectly clean or the chemical can distort the paint and cause fish eyes and such. Bead blasting the jug looks sweet too.
    Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
