    Best heavy duty studs?

Well, I just blew the head gasket on my EX, coming up the face of a double, and nailed my balls on the gas tank, and dont want it to happen again. What are some good heavy duty studs that will prevent the gasket from blowing again? Also, what's a good for my 416. i have the setup listed in my sig, so it shouldn't have blown.

    thanks

None. A stud is a stud. The problem is the threads pulling and stripping out in the cylinder. I had the same problem and no way was I going to spend $100 for studs. There is no such thing as special studs or threads.

    Two options I had.

Buy studs from the local store and get a local shop guy to make them, for a whole lot cheaper. Or put in steel inserts and use locktite.

I used steel inserts and locktite and never had a problem again.

East coast ATV makes a good set for around 100 bucks, and so does TC... Not sure, but the ones ECATV sells might actually be TC ones... The only other option you have is to get your studs Heli-Coiled, and they will hold much better...

You also have to make sure your head and cylinder aren't warped. Or you will keep having headgasket problems no matter what studs or gaskets you use.
