Doug Gust was decked out in Black & Yellow matching gear and looked rather relaxed before the start of the race.

#7 Joe Byrd heads out of the gate for his practice lap and just about ran me over trying to give me a great action shot.

Alba Action's, #53 Kory Ellis, locks up his front brakes and plows himself a path in front of his gate while roosting his rear tires.

It was very interesting to watch the different ways riders exited the starting gate for their practice lap.

Once the riders returned from their practice lap, they wasted no time starting the National Anthem to keeps things moving because the of all the entries Last Chance Qualifiers overflowed into Sunday Morning before they could even start the Sunday's 27 2nd Moto races on the schedule.

The Weather for the Event this year at Loretta's in August couldn't have been better!!! Loretta's is known for being extremely hot and humid, but not this weekend. Temps were in the Mid 80's with very low humdity which made the biggest difference in the comfort level.

The spectators crowded along the entire perimeter of the track to watch the last MX race of the season. It was just incredible to see so many people coming out to watch the race. I have been to many Motorcycle Outdoor Nationals and they normally attrack thousands of spectators, but the ATV Community is finally starting to catch up in a hurry.

Soon after National Anthem, the roar of the revving engines on the line began, and the gate dropped to start the 1st Moto! #55 Doug Gust, #4 Tim Farr, #708 Harold Goodman, and #6 Tavis Cain charged around the first turn heading toward the 2nd left hand turn to the open drag straightaway.

Joe Byrd started on the far outside gate and went wide to avoid the dust cloud in the 1st turn.
