87-89 swingarm

Will a 89 swingarm fit on a 87 TRX 250R. I think that the motor mount may have to be modified. Thanks for your help.

doesnt the swingarmbolt go thru the motor in 86-87 and then it doesnt in 88-89 i think thats right .... and if it is then i dont think u can do it like that

swingarm bolt does not go through the engine but there is a set of engine mounts that it does go through. 88-89 could go on w/some modifying but brobably easier to just get an 86-87 swinger

You'll have to take the center rear motor mount from the 87 and cut the ears off were they mount to the motor and weld them to the top of the bottom frame rail so that you don't loose your rear mounts. than you can install your 89 swing arm. It's not that hard if ya have a some patience, and someone who can weld.
