    jetting

    I have recently bought a 250r from my brother that he blew to pieces. the jetting was all wrong. I have a ported cylinder but i dont know how radical it is i also have boisen rad valves ,.080 over weisco piston, fmf fatty pipe and sielencer,stock carb, with a pro flo filter still in the air box. does anybody know what jetting i should run? I was trhinking of starting with a 160 main.

    Jets are cheap and so is gas. Hard parts are expensive. I bet it screamed right up till she blew. Go large on the main (170) and see if it blubbers at full throttle the go down in increments until it runs right.
