    250R or 300EX

I was just wondering what was a better over all quad, a 250R or a 300EX. Is there that much of a difference in them cuz i know they look an awful lot alike but from what i hear the 250R sounds like a better quad. what do u guys think?

It all depends on what you intend to do with it. The 250R is alot faster and has better suspension than the 300EX. But the 300EX is more reliable and has reverse. The 300EX is a good quad for most poeple for trail riding. The 250R is a race machine that is also good in the dunes. It just matters what you want to use a quad for. Just my .02.

The 250R handles incredibly better than the 300ex. I made the switch directly from 300ex to 250R.. and if you ever sit on a 300ex again it feels like a toy compared to the R. The R is much roomier.. MUCH lower.. and has a longer wheelbase. It handles better over everything and there is no way to compare power. It doesn't compare at all. If you want to know what a 250R is like.. it's like a yfz.. but with a much harder power, and it's even lower.

Well, let's put it this way. The 300EX is an entry-level quad for beginners.

The 250r is for advanced riders.

What about 250R vs. 400EX. I am looking into moving up from the little EX.

I would take a 250R over the 400EX. It's a better mx quad than the 400 and a little faster. The 400 is more reliable and probably more comfortable.

If you're looking to move up from the 400, I would consider one of the new 450's.

If its time to get rid of the 250EX then get a 400EX. You will be very happy with it, even in stock form. I went from a 300 to a 400 and what a big change for the better. The 250R will be a step to far from the 250EX you now have. Plus alot of maintance with a 2 stroke.

    Is this a Joke???

there is not any comparison. that's like focus vs mustang

anyway on a serious note the R is a 2stroke and will pull you in every gear, 300 ex is a turd.
Both suck stock and you will quickly outgrow them in your skills. So that being said, get a 450 and leave it pretty much stock. Put some bars on it, tires, nerfs. the basics. race that to start and add to it little by little. By the time your skills increase so will your mods to be competative. Just my thoughs. Spend the extra you will not regret it! I promise!

i dont get it. I like all the new 450's a lot but why when someone is asking which quad to get between a 250r and a 400ex do people recomend a 450? If they wanted that they would ask about it. I just get tired of seeing every post about the new 450's.
88 250r with paul turner motor ..... classic and still the best!
