I don't know if anyone else has seen this but I think it pretty cool they still do this with the 250r motors.

what's the point? get a 86-89 250r instead. the chassis is a much better setup and for $5000 you could buy a nice one already very well setup.

I know when i went from a 400ex to my 250r i instantly fell in love with the chassis setup and the way the quad sits. but if you have a ton of money invested in suspension and everything else, than maybe it's worth it, but for cheaper you could just put a crf450 between the frame rails.

    not worth it.

I think that has to be one of the ugliest quads ever...just having that CR250R engine in there, I think it's mostly because of the huge pipe, just doesn't go with the body and looks of the EX. I think it'd be way better to either get the "old-fashioned" 80's 250R or put a CR450F engine in an EX frame.

I disagree, I think hands down the tecate is the ugliest quads i've ever seen! The hoods alone make me laugh, not to mention the a-arms setup. Guess it's a fast quad though, but just plain ugly.

oh, have you seen the new 05' limited edition 450r all in black, that looks nice.

only 310 lbs...u'd figure for $8000 that you'd actually get a legit race quad not some ghetto looking cr250 powered 400ex frame.
