    this is what i think...

after seeing cam mod vs. 480 with the same mods..

and the 480 only beating it by a quad length.. i really dont think 11cc is gonna make a difference on this particular bike.. after you add a pipe and do the cam mod..

i really dont know why yamaha is gonna bump up the cc's because the 439 is doing just fine smoking the competittion now.. but it should have more low end torqe if they are going to do that .. but it may not rev as fast...

they may do something with the charging system .. maybe try to prevent that little black plug from poping out that some people has experience..

they could also add a 6th gear and that would be the best mod they could possibly do to this bike..

IMO, It would be smarter to stay at 440cc. The reason is, if you slightly damage the cylinder wall, theres still a chance you can have it bored and still be under 450cc's. In this case you don't have to resleeve it when you have to rebuilt it (first time).

This ^ is if your racing and want to stay under 450cc to race in certain classes.

It says on Yamaha's web site that on June 15 at 9pm pacific, they'll announce the 2005's, so just wait a week and we'll know.
