    Axle Problems

Alright for the past month now, i have been taking off my whole back end. (axle, hubs, swingarm, etc.) I have barely anytime to work on it.
The splines where the hub goes. I just want to make sure it is supposed to go on there that hard so i dont damage the axle splines.
I also noticed when i was looking at buying new axles, it always comes with that part already on there. My friend was working on it and he said that it took 1200 pds of pressure to get it off the axle.
If this makes any sense, please help .

Are you talking about the sprocket hub? If so, yes it is pressed on and I belive all aftermarket axles for the 400 comes with it already installed.

I know I put a stock axle in our press one time trying to give the hub to a buddy of mine to get him back running again. It never moved even a .1 of an inch.
