By the 2nd lap, Jeff Stoess had taken over the lead with Chad Duvall and William Yokley only a few seconds behind. Todd knippenberg rode flawlessly the 2nd lap and moved up to 4th place from 16th after putting in a lap time that was almost three minutes faster than any other Pro. Unfortunately, Todd's race was ended in the third lap.

Chad Duvall had moved up from 11th to take over 2nd place.

Greg Trew race almost ended in the 2nd lap when his YFZ axle got wrapped up in a grape vine, which took atleast five minutes to get it free. He dropped from the top five back to 11th by the end of the lap.

Bill Ballance wasn't spared from problems either, He received a flat front tire on the 2nd lap which slowed him down considerably. He made a last minute decision to switch tires which didn't have tire balls and it cost him big after getting the flat. Ballance dropped back to 8th and was several minutes off the leaders.

After a great start, Brad Page was out of the race after 1 lap. He heads back to the pits.

Half way through the final lap, Jeff Stoess was still in the lead, and he almost completely took me off guard as he came flying through the lappers.

Jeff Stoess stayed on the gas the entire lap and never got stuck with his new Kenda Tires and Tire Balls, which made all the difference in the world.

Jeff went on to win the Pro Class and take his 1st Overall Victory!!!!

Bryan Cook put in an incredible ride especially after his YFZ wouldn't restart after heading into the pits at the end of lap two. His Four Stroke Tech team finally got his YFZ started, and he was able to keep it from stalling during the last lap and work his way back up to 4th behind Santo Derisi after falling back to 7th.

Another Excellent race by the Rookie Bryan Cook!!!

Santo Derisi was grinning ear to ear after finishing third in the pro Class and 5th Overall. He has been struggling all year with his YFZ, but he finally feels like he has his suspension dialed in for his light weight. Santo made his first podium apperance last year at Rausch Creek, so I am sure his is looking for a repeat.

William Yokley and Matt Smiley both were in the top five heading into the third lap, but they both sucked up by the muddy track, which caused them to lose some valuable time. William Yokley dropped back to 6th and Matt Smiley dropped back to 10th.

Bill Ballance worked his way back up 5th in the last lap after having the fastest last lap of any rider on the last lap. One thing about Bill Ballance is that he never gives up. In Texas, he wrecked hard and dropped back, and he still put in the fastest last lap. His drive to win is incredible, and I commend him for his renlentless effort.

William heads back to the pits in disgust after finishing the race 8th overall. When most riders only wish, they ever could finish a GNCC in the top 10 overall.

Andy Lagzdins had his best pro class finish of the year with 8th place. I guess those ITP HD tires really worked for him because I know they worked for me in the morning.
