    z is making a ticking noise??

    i have a 03 z400 and its making a ticking noise, i got it fixed 2wice and then it started doing it again..what can it be??

    It is either needs a valve adjustment or most likely a new timing chain.

    he need s anew timing chain...happened to my friend on his kfx and took it in and it was te timing chain...yet to happen to mine

    20-50

    most shim under bucket types have a tic to them, yes it could be the camchain but ive owned many machines for years never needing the camchain replaced ive found 20-50 oil helps and use a high grade oil , the ticking comes usualy from the exhaust side since the clearence is more due to heat and expansion,just check your bucket to cam clearence at least every 4-6 months.
