Number 49 Sage Baker drives about 11 hours from Redding CA, for every race, proving how dedicated he is to racing. He was holding on running in 5th place on his yamaha.
Kory Hinsz was running in 9th after having to borrow a Honda 450r from good buddy Larry Hayes.
Patton and Schell jumped the down hill side by side. Schell had gained a little time on Patton and was ready to strike.
Patton was not going to let Schell by that easy. Schell was going to have to work for it.
When Patton and Schell came out of the back section Schell had lost a bit of time on Patton. After talking to Schell after the race he had said that his seat was coming off. However Schell wasn't about to give up.
On the third lap Sage Baker got stuck on a burm. Fortunetly he was far enough ahead of the other riders and no one passed him.
Patton won the race with Schell taking second. It was a close race and they out on a great show for all of the spectators. Looks like Patton needs to give Kory Ellis credit for this win.
Ricky Nickell took 3rd in the race and Sage Baker took 4th, both on Yamaha 450s.
While Darrel wasn't racing he was annoucing the rest of the races in the tower with good buddy Tony Munio, who he also races against, because Glen Helen did not have an announcer for the race.
