Looks great man.
do you happen to have some dyno info of that vs. a stock build head? what kind of power gains can one expect? how reliable is the motor to achieve said power levels? I am asking because I have a 125 and my son is nearly maxing it out already. he is already complaining about it's performance is not fast enough. I can either drop in a 90cc 2-smoker or do up the stocker. i am weighing the pros and cons of each. the 2-smoker is water cooled so more complicated while the 4 thumper may not be as reliable, but hoping you can confirm that.
^ any updates? i am really interested. if i don;t hear back soon, i am just going to swap to the kx engine.
Pretty sure he's just waiting on Cams to be ground to give a better useable power band.
can you ask him to contact me? i am wanting info and pricing as well as some details. I am trying to decide if I am gogin to swap the kx65 (with 85cc BB kit) in it or redo the 125.
oscar@mayer.net is my email.
thank you sir!
^ yea that is what I figured. we are racing a 90-open class allows up to a 96cc setup. we are running the Athena 85cc BB kit on the kx65 with lots of work done. out of this world acceleration compared to the done up 85cc engines cause of it's shorter stroke, but not as much HP on the big end. so we have to be careful in the straights.
I was not sure if the 125 upgrades were worth it or just stick with the original plan for the 2-smoker. that was kinda why I was asking about dyno numbers and reliability as well as real world testing fasts. at least that would give me a good idea where we stood to make a better decision.
thanks for the info and yea, let him know I'm interested in info and details.
