Darrel Patton, took second in the first moto, and was in a close battle for the first place position in the second moto, when he hit a rut just before the Talladega causing him to go end over end. Patton was laying in the middle of the track for a few minutes, and was finally able to get up and back to his pits. Talking to him later he felt like he had been hit by a truck.,
Patton did go to the doctor, and is now on crutches due to an ankle injury. We wish him a quick recovery.
