2003 polaris sportsman 700 spark issue

Hey guys I'm looking at a buddies sportsman 700 it's the later igntion not the ducati one. It sparks 1 time when u first turn it over and then that's it's. U have to cycle the key back off and back on to get it to spark 1 time again. The only thing that tested weird per the manual was pick up coil and ignition coil I have replaced both of those. I also have a spare CDI box I tried. Now I don't know if for 1 in a million chance I have 2 bad CDI boxes... I know usually if it sparks once like that it's a CDI box I'm unsure if I should try to get another one or what. Thanks for the help
