Can anybody tell me, on my 400ex, why the vent tubes on my carb. bleed out gas (lots of it) when I wheelie for long distances. I was wondering if any one has come across this problem?

it happens to the best of us
it is normal, it does it right out of the fastory on any honda 4 stroke sport model, iv riden whelies on all of then, they all leak, no big prob just put more gas in.
when the quad is in a somewhat vertical position, the carb leaks gas so that the carb will not flood the engine because of the force of the gas coming into the carb from the tank...make sense?
Yeah its just comming out of your overflow tube so your carb dont fill up. Its normal. Its a really good way to waste alot of gas.
My Honda and poopalaris does it. As said above, "..good way to waste gas.":ermm:
Same thing happens to me GREAT way to waste the gas. Ecspecially now with the Iraqis starting the Oil Fields on fire!:grr
yeah its not a prob when i wheelie on my lil blaster:( it leaks
On my 400ex theres a little screw on the carburator which can be turned by a small flat head. Once you tighten this theres usually not alot of gas that leaks out but some will.
I beleive that is the float bowl drain screw. It should always be closed tight. Unless draining the gas out of the float bowl of course. :)
