The Motorsports Park is usually packed every weekend with Drag Cars ready to shred some rubber, but this weekend they shared the facility with XC racers.
Friday Morning vehicles began lining up to enter the Motorsports Park.

Jim Pinkston, ITP Tires, decided it was easier to bicycle the course. The only way to check out the GNCC course before an event is either on foot or bicycle, and the course is normally almost 10 miles which makes the bicycle a very attractive alternative to walking.
You didn't have to walk far to see this huge stair step jump on the MX track. The XC course utilitized almost the entire MX track, and it contained a mix of doubles, step ups, and tabletops.
The track was extremely dry Friday Afternoon, and the water truck was out watering the entry road and sections of the track along the pit areas, but as evening approached the skies darkened and the rain came in with vengeance. In only a few hours, over an inch of rain was dumped on the track which turned the MX track into a mud bog.
Saturday the rain clouds gave way to sunny skies and temps in the low 80's, which made for a perfect day for racing.

Santo Derisi added a Honda 450R to his Stables, which has become a common occurance this year.
