Stalling in this situation can allow alot of riders to get by and check out on the rest of the class that will have to get around the inevitable bottleneck that follows

getting a tow back to the pits after less then 1 minute of racing is enough to ruin anyones day
When the leaders came back into view, Parton had the lead and was doing everything she could to put distance between her and 300+ other riders all trying to run her down
Cecco ripped into the field section in 5th or 6th spot. Chatter around the pits had everyone speculating that a wreck had occured, but after the race Cecco and Parton explained that they both went off course as markers were missing and after getting turned around valuable time had been lost
Rick Cecco emerged from the woods and was flat out moving! During the next few laps his name was being blared over the loud speakers and it looked like he may have a shot at an overall!
Traci rode hard and ran down Parton, passing her for the lead
