Thomas Brown and Brandon Sommers almost collided on the start, which left the pair back at the rear of the pack early on, but by the end of the first lap, they worked their way up to mid pack and continued the charge together for the next two laps with only a few seconds seperating the pair as they clawed their way to the front behind Kevin Yoho in the lead.
