With the final lap half over, Cook maintained a significant lead over Bill Ballance in second place and was only a few miles from his second career overall win.
Bill Ballance remained in second place, but Bryan Baker had passed Houston and running right behind Ballance in the final podium spot.
Brandon Ballance also had passed Houston and moved into fourth place and was throwing up the roost trying to the 20 second gap between him and Baker and chance of sharing the podium with his brother Bill.
Mike Houston had dropped back close to a minute behind the front runners as he held the fifth spot.
Andy Lagzdins was over two minutes back in 6th place with Santo Derisi hanging tight with him in 7th place
Chris Jenks had worked his way back up to 10th place, but it still wasn’t enough to ease his disappointment of losing the overall.
Chris Borich was back out on the track ripping it up.
With the Checkered flag out, Bryan Cook would take the win with no else in sight
